Marie-Marguerite Dufay best known as Marie-Guite Dufay (born May 21, 1949 in Paris, France) is the incumbent president of the Franche-Comté Regional Council. She won the nomination to be the next socialist candidate for President of Franche-Comté in 2010.〔( Régionales: Marie-Guite Dufay chef de file des socialistes )〕
==Political career==

She was first elected to the Besançon city council in 1989. Six years later, she was appointed as deputy mayor of Besançon (1995 to 2008). In the Franche-Comté regional election, 2004, she is the second in Socialist List just after Raymond Forni.
After the death of the President Raymond Forni, she is elected by the assembly as President of the Region.
